Art making directly connects our sense of self with the natural world through the physical process of touch, sight and sound while rewiring our brain for connection with Other. Drawing upon my knowledge as a professional naturalist, arts integration classroom teacher and 30 years of technical skills, each workshop is designed to help us slow down , contemplate our natural world through wonder and nurture our inner landscape. Song to MySelf™ is a 6 week mixed media exploration of our story as women. We will explore strong female archetypes and uncover how their stories are our story, while having a blast making art ! Learn to create a unique artist book celebrating your own personal journey using watercolors, pastepaper and simple bookmaking techniques.

Learning to See-Learning to Draw ™- Fundamental to any artistic practice, rendering from direct observation opens a doorway to transcend the self and empathize with other. Recording this mindfulness heightens our awareness and opens our eyes to the world.
We will honor the spring by field tripping outside to local parks weather permitting.
